Architecture Talks 01: Africa Rising

The Circle's 'pop-up' architecture talk series that will focus each week on an architectural issue, began on 4th February, Thursday, with a talk on Africa.

Selçuk Avcı joined the talk from the capital of Ruanda, Kigali and Yüksel Demir joined him from İstanbul.

For this talk, which also included a discussion on how architects conduct international projects, Selçuk Avcı, who has carried out many projects in Africa, joined forces with Yüksel Demir, who has produced projects for various regions of the world, including Antarctica.

Agenda:

Africa is on the rise as a continent with new structures and projects. Turkish architects also play an important role in this rise. So how do we evaluate this rise as architects? What are the possibilities and challenges of this process?
